Iowa’s Top 10 in 2023: Ankeny

Population: 66,346 souls

Join us in Ankeny, IA for the morning parade on Saturday for their annual Summerfest to share the gospel. This is part of our aspiration in 2023 to evangelize the top 10 cities in Iowa. We will provide tracts and bibles to give out to people during our outreach time. The Summerfest event is a 3-day event and will continue all day Saturday, after the parade.

We will gather at 8:30 at the intersection of SW Cherry Street and SW Ordinance Road and begin with prayer. please register so we know you are coming to join us. If you are not able to join us, please keep us in prayer in this labor of compassion for the lost.

“Hear then the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”

8:30 am Summerfest Parade along NW Cherry Street
Join us for tract distribution along the parade route. Parades are great places to hand out tracts while people are awaiting the parade.
11:00 am Carnival & Vendors
Enjoy some street witnessing among the people gathered for the vendors and carnival starting at 11:00.
