Iowa GO! Ministry Update 2025

Another year at the Iowa State Fair has come and gone. The fair had near-record attendance with some hot days and a few periods of rain to cool things off. This outreach continues to grow and improve every year. Roger started it in 2001 with a vision to proclaim the truth of God’s word. We receive great support from Answers in Genesis where we get most of our materials. They also provide our volunteers with access to their foundational Creation apologetics course online to equip them. The collaboration with Tomorrow’s Forefathers is a great blessing in training up qualified volunteers through their Testify Training Camp each weekend of the fair. We also distribute tracts from Living Waters, Creation Today! and Mark Cahill.

Our focus this year on the origin of time itself was highlighted by new banners quoting from Genesis, and several resources: Our Created Moon, 7 C’s of History booklet and DVD.

The measure of our success is known only to God through the impact we have had on the lives we encountered and spoke into through the volunteers and materials given. In terms of numbers we had a record-setting year; here is what it looked like:

• Over 85,000 resources were given
• 125 volunteers with 5+ for most shifts (4 shifts per day, 11 days)
• Many volunteers shared the gospel for the first time or gave out their first tract
• Thousands of Christ-centered gospel conversations
• 30+ hours of prayer for the volunteers and those reached

Thank you to all the volunteers who diligently helped at the booth for the 11 days of the State Fair and helped point visitors to Christ and the Gospel. Thank you to those who helped clean, organize, setup, and tear down the booth. Thank you to everyone who prayed for the ministry, volunteers, and for the lost. Thank you to those who have donated to help keep this unique and powerful outreach going year after year.
